School Development Plan

During the 2017-2018 school year, we started a new 5 year school development cycle. This plan is in line with the NLESD 5 year Strategic Plan. We have two broad goals and each year we review our data to refine or Objectives and Strategies we implement to work toward our goals.

School development is a systematic approach to change at the school level designed to guide and focus a school towards the achievement of its mission - enhanced student learning. Developed within the context of both the provincial and district strategic education plans, a School Development Plan reflects the uniqueness of the local school environment. The Newfoundland and Labrador School Development Model is a results oriented process that involves collective reflection, analysis, problem solving, planning, and continuous improvement leading to the attainment of specific school goals.
